Buddha’s Blend | 24 Days of Tea: Day 15

Buddhas Blend - 24 Days of Tea Day 15We don’t like to brag, but we’re pretty sure we just found the key to achieving nirvana. It’s easier than you might think – you’re actually just a cup away. You start with a fresh, delicate mix of white and green tea. Then you sprinkle in a few jasmine pearls for their sweet, floral perfume. Next, you add the unexpected fruity aroma of some beautiful white hibiscus blossoms. Finally? You sit back, relax and take a sip. Heavenly…

Buddha’s Blend has a gorgeous floral aroma with lovely, light, and airy green tea scents and a subtle, sweet fruitiness. Tangerine citrus notes fade into the background but add a nice brightness to this brew.

Very subtle at first, the flavour of this tea grows into a great balance of white and green teas that is mellow and relaxing. A heavily backloaded flavour, it starts out very subtle before building to a mild citrus green tea. I may have brewed this one a tad too hot for the first try as there is a bit of astringency to this one that feels like it shouldn’t be there. Overall quite nice but be sure not to brew it too hot and bruise the leaves.
